Maganyeni Holdings roots can be traced back to Mr. Mabuza’s humble beginnings. Born into an entrepreneurial family in the Limpopo Province, his late father Mr. Maganyeni was an accomplished businessman, who was well-known for his successful business ventures, most notably as the owner of a local supermarket. His father recognized from an early age that Moshona had an inclination towards entrepreneurship. To support his sons’ interests, he become his first investor in a setting up a Spaza Shop.

Subsequently, he identified another lucrative opportunity and become the first individual in Limpopo to acquire a public cellphone container, during a period where owning such an enterprise was rare, especially for a young man at the time. This modest achievement proved to be the catalyst to encourage him to broaden his horizon and search for better opportunities in the Gauteng Province.

In 2007, he would join forces with his brother to establish Maganyeni Trading, a general trading enterprise, which was also the preamble to Maganyeni Holdings.

In 2009, Maganyeni Trading became an accredited Multichoice installer of DSTV for RDP houses, which provided the much needed capital to grow the enterprise.

In 2011, Maganyeni Trading had grown to such an extent that the enterprise was in a position to expand its operations and diversify its offering to provide security infrastructure.

In 2013, Maganyeni Holdings is established and encompasses a diversified multi-disciplinary portfolio.
